Corporate Travelpoint 2.0 - Used Galileo's web services, built HTML Components (HTCs), programmed complex client-side JavaScript and DHTML, including extensive manipulation of XML for this next-generation corporate self-booking product. Revamped the stark, user-unfriendly administration web site, bringing it in line with the rest of the product. Galileo e-Cruise - Designed, developed and continue to enhance Galileo e-Cruise, a web-based cruise booking engine for travel agents using the work done for Uniglobe.com as a base. Integrated e-Cruise with Viewpoint, an agency desktop application, and its e-Agent web site. Worked closely with marketing, host development and sales teams to devise solutions and provide the best product possible to our clients in three months. Received Service and Task Achievement Reward for being "creative and responsive in implementing changes", willingness to "respond to Marketing's requests for features and enhancements in an amazingly short amount of time" and ability to "come up with a solution that meets our requirements and then some!" Uniglobe.com CruiseControl - Designed and developed Gómez WebStar award-winning CruiseControl web-based cruise booking engine for Uniglobe.com in a web farm environment using ASP, XML, XSL, Visual Basic, custom-built COM components, VBScript, JavaScript, SQL Server and Galileo's XML Select, an XML-based API to Galileo's Computerized Reservation System. Received Galileo's Global Recognition Program Award for this effort. |

GIS application for New England Electric System. This application integrates with existing
warehouse and inventory applications to provide seamless enterprise-wide workflow
management. Designed and developed a client/server application from prototype to delivery using Visual Basic 5, SQL, Oracle 8, VISION* 5 Objects, Geographical Macro Language (GML, a fourth generation language) to support the deployment of MCI's Managed Network Services (MNS) for the United States Postal Service. This application geographically tracks service orders used to build and maintain the MNS network and serves as the MNS Network Equipment Inventory Database. It supports a total of approximately 7,000 dedicated Frame Relay sites and 22,000 dialup sites. Documentation included requirements, design documents and test plans. Other responsibilities including end-user training and preparation of user training materials using Adobe FrameMaker, MS PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Exchange. Conducted Internal Quality Audits in preparation for ISO 9001 certification. |
